Guided by the Guangdong Provincial Association for Science and Technology and Huangpu District Association for Science and Technology, the event was hosted by the Guangdong Provincial Research Institute for Cerebrovascular Medical Devices and Guangzhou Shangjun Investment Consulting Co., Ltd. Co-organizers included the Talent Alliance of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Life Health Industry Innovation Zone and Guangdong Yinling Health Industry Co., Ltd. Strong support was provided by the Greater Bay Area Life Science Park, Guangdong Blue Island Biotechnology Co., Ltd., China Merchants Bank Guangzhou Science City Sub-branch, Guangzhou Rural Commercial Bank Xianlie Middle Road Sub-branch and other institutions.

At the opening of the event, Zhu Zhilan, Vice President of the Guangdong Provincial Research Institute for Cerebrovascular Medical Devices, delivered an address on behalf of the organizers.

Innovation is driven by talent. During the certificate issuance session, the Talent Alliance of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Life Health Industry Innovation Zone welcomed a new cohort of top industry experts. Lin Wei, Deputy General Manager of Guangdong Yinling Health Industry Co., Ltd., together with six other specialists from industry, investment and research sectors, officially joined the alliance. They will offer professional guidance and intellectual support for healthcare innovation and entrepreneurship in the Bay Area.

A strategic cooperation licensing ceremony was held on site. The Greater Bay Area Life Science Park became an official strategic partner of the institute. The two parties will deepen collaboration in industrial incubation and project matchmaking in the future.

In the subsequent sharing segment, Xie Xixin, Secretary-General of the Guangdong Provincial Research Institute for Cerebrovascular Medical Devices, introduced the institute’s practices in institute-enterprise collaboration, and highlighted the upcoming "Gathering Innovations, Empowering Medical Devices" Advanced Medical Device Technology & Commercialization Summit, to be held during the 2026 Guangzhou Medical Expo on August 22.Yang Zhongming, Director of the Medical Innovation Integration Center, presented the full-chain service system built around the path of "Innovation-Incubation-Commercialization-Industrialization", positioning the center as an S2B2C innovation empowerment platform for medical devices.Zhang Minyi from Guangdong Blue Island Biotechnology Co., Ltd. elaborated on the critical role of preclinical animal testing centers in translational medicine. Leveraging AAALAC-accredited primate testing facilities, Blue Island delivers comprehensive CRO services for innovators, facilitating the translation of lab research into clinical applications.



As a highlight of the event, Lin Wei, Deputy General Manager of Guangdong Yinling Health Industry Co., Ltd., gave a comprehensive presentation on the 2026 Guangzhou Medical and Health Industry Expo.
Hosted by the People’s Government of Guangzhou Municipality and coordinated by the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission and Guangzhou Municipal Cooperation Office, the 2026 Guangzhou Medical Expo will take place at Area B of the Canton Fair Complex from August 21 to 23. Scaled up for this edition, the expo adopts an integrated "3 Theme Pavilions + 8 Functional Zones + X Parallel Events" industrial layout. It is expected to attract over 100 medical institutions and 300 enterprises, alongside more than 20 industry academic conferences running concurrently.
Tailored to clinical research and industrial translation demands, themed sessions will cover high-quality clinical research development, cutting-edge technologies, AI integration in smart healthcare, and the commercialization of hospital-prepared Chinese herbal medicines. The expo strives to build a seamless platform linking academia, technology and industry, enabling innovative projects to gain exposure and achieve tangible market rollout.
With supportive policies and industrial platforms in place, innovative projects underwent on-site evaluation. The five roadshow projects of this phase covered trending tracks including AI internet healthcare, cardio-cerebral sudden death early warning, eye health management, rapid quantitative testing for chronic diseases, and non-invasive early tumor screening. All teams presented their solutions under the "12-minute presentation + 8-minute Q&A" format before a panel of expert judges.







The 2026 Guangzhou Medical Expo serves not only as a barometer for the healthcare industry, but also a vital catalyst for translating innovative achievements in the Greater Bay Area. All industry peers are cordially invited to gather at Area B of the Canton Fair Complex from August 21 to 23 for this grand integration of medical innovation and industrial development, and witness more breakthroughs move from laboratories to mass markets.
