On July 2, Deng Xijin, Director of the Pharmaceutical Policy Division of Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission, Li Yijie, Fourth-level Principal Staff Member, and Lin Wei, Deputy General Manager of Guangdong Yinling Health Industry Co., Ltd., paid a visit to Sinopharm Holding Guangzhou Co., Ltd. and China Meheco Guangdong Pharma Co., Ltd., holding in-depth discussions on preparations for the 2026 Guangzhou Medical and Health Industry Expo (hereinafter referred to as the "2026 Guangzhou Medical Expo").

Representatives from Sinopharm Holding Guangzhou attended the meeting, including Li Jinxiong, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of China National Accord Medicines Corporation Ltd. Participants from China Meheco Guangdong Pharma Co., Ltd. included Liao Jie, Party Secretary and General Manager; Li Bin, Assistant General Manager; Cao Ximin, General Manager of the New Medical Business Division, SPD Operation Management Department, Municipal Medical Device Sales Department and Import & Export Department; Xu Yi, General Manager of the Medical Device Procurement Department; and Lai Yinhui, General Manager of the Pharmaceutical Procurement Department.
Focusing on the Grand Event, Collaborating for Industrial Synergy
The two rounds of discussions centered on key work for the 2026 Guangzhou Medical Expo, covering exhibition layout, resource docking, enterprise participation and thematic forums. Director Deng Xijin introduced that the 2026 Guangzhou Medical Expo will see remarkable growth in exhibition scale, exhibitor lineup and professional visitor volume compared with last year. It will further streamline full-industry-chain docking channels and build a high-standard benchmark cooperation platform for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area’s medical and health industry. He sincerely invited all industry peers to participate in the expo, deepen collaboration and share opportunities to drive high-quality development of the Greater Bay Area’s medical and health sector.
Representatives from Sinopharm Holding Guangzhou and China Meheco Guangdong Pharma stated separately that they achieved outstanding results from participation in the 2025 expo. As central state-owned enterprises, they will take the initiative to shoulder industrial development missions and ramp up participation in the 2026 expo. They will integrate upstream and downstream resources, leverage supply chain channel advantages and create immersive scenario-based exhibition experiences. All participants reached a consensus to take the expo as a bond to deepen linkage among government, industry, medical institutions and enterprises, connect innovative technologies and scientific research achievements with the market, and fuel high-quality development of the Greater Bay Area’s medical and health industry.
