On August 21, the International Medical Innovation & Development Exchange Conference of the 2026 Guangzhou Medical Expo was held in Guangzhou. Four major cooperation agreements were signed on-site, covering the construction of cross-border medical platforms, industrial translation of innovative drugs and medical devices, and the launch of pioneering projects under the Hong Kong & Macao Drug & Device Access Scheme. These landmark deals fully demonstrate the expo’s fruitful achievements in linking global medical resources.

During the event, Zhujiang Hospital of Southern Medical University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on international medical cooperation with Prodiagnos Pte. Ltd. The two sides will jointly build a cross-border health collaboration platform serving Southeast Asia. The First Affiliated Hospital of Jinan University completed the technology transfer signing for innovative radiopharmaceuticals, marking the industrialization of its research achievements. Meanwhile, a launch ceremony was held for the first approved radiopharmaceutical Lu-177 oxodotreotide and its calibration standard under the Hong Kong & Macao Drug & Device Access Scheme, representing a groundbreaking breakthrough for the scheme in the radiopharmaceutical sector. In addition, an MOU on deepened cooperation in desensitization therapy under the Hong Kong & Macao Drug & Device Access Scheme, covering the Oraltek® sublingual spray product line, was formally signed to further expand the application scope of the cross-border drug and device access program.

These four signed partnerships serve as bridges for the exchange of medical resources between China and overseas markets. They accelerate the translation of innovative pharmaceutical and medical device products from laboratory R&D to clinical practice, and further advance the implementation of the Hong Kong & Macao Drug & Device Access Scheme in niche fields including radiopharmaceuticals and desensitization therapy. All parties will take this opportunity to deepen joint collaboration and drive high-quality development of Guangzhou’s international medical services and biomedical industry.
