The Member Congress was presided over by Vice President Zhong Fan of Guangzhou Hospital Association. The meeting heard and deliberated on the association's 2025 Financial Report, 2025 Annual Work Summary, 2026 Work Plan and the 15th Five-Year Development Plan. It also voted to approve a series of personnel proposals, including appointing Kou Qiuye, Shen Jichuan, Huang Bin, Kong Fandong and Liu Fengping as Vice Presidents, co-opting Xu Gang as Deputy Secretary-General, and Ye Xingdong and Yang Zhenyu as Directors. These decisions further clarified the association's development direction and consolidated the synergy for collaborative progress.

Subsequently, the 2025 Annual Award Ceremony was held to recognize outstanding organizations and individuals who made remarkable contributions to improving medical quality and safety over the past year, inspiring medical workers to continue pursuing excellence and making greater achievements. Guests attending the ceremony and presenting awards included Li Tiegang, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission; Xiao Xincai, Director of the Medical Administration and Regulation Department; Hua Jun, Director of the Information and Statistics Department; Chen Meiting, Deputy Director of the Information and Statistics Department; Cao Jie, Consultant of the Association; Wen Yonghong, Director and Chairman of the Labor Union of Guangzhou Port Group Co., Ltd.; and Fang Peifeng, General Manager of the Medical Sales Center of Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited.

In his speech, Li Tiegang fully affirmed the important role played by the association in hospital management, innovation promotion and medical-policy coordination. He emphasized that the association has become an indispensable force in Guangzhou's medical system. He expressed the hope that in the future, the association will continue to focus on ten key areas, including medical quality and safety, hospital operation and management, artificial intelligence technology application, primary healthcare capacity enhancement, source resolution of doctor-patient disputes, patient experience improvement, empowerment of the biopharmaceutical industry by medical institutions, emergency response to urban sudden medical needs, rational allocation of medical resources and hierarchical medical treatment, as well as medical staff's professional ethics, legal compliance and career planning. By optimizing resource allocation and addressing development challenges, the association will help the healthcare sector achieve new leaps forward.

In addition, five parallel sub-forums were held by the association's affiliated special committees, including the "Hong Kong-Macao Medicine and Devices Connect" Professional Working Committee, the Private Medical Institutions Management Branch, the Health Preservation and Healthcare Professional Working Committee, the Liver Disease Professional Working Committee, and the Primary Oral Healthcare Professional Working Committee. Experts attending the sub-forums conducted lively discussions on topics such as the implementation of the Hong Kong-Macao Medicine and Devices Connect policy and health management innovation, providing valuable insights for the practice and development of relevant fields.

The successful holding of this congress not only built a high-level communication platform for multi-party collaboration among government, industry, academia, research and medical sectors, but also injected new ideological impetus and exemplary strength into the innovative development of Guangzhou's healthcare industry. Under the guidance of the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission and with the joint efforts of all member organizations, Guangzhou Hospital Association will surely achieve greater breakthroughs in the new development stage and contribute more wisdom and strength to the construction of Healthy Guangzhou and Healthy China.
